What happens to IP invented or developed while LCMS is consulting for us?

All and any Intellectual Property relating to your business invented or developed while we are contracted to you is 100% owned by you. We'll support any filings that you make. See Terms and Conditions.

How long does a business assessment take?

While recognizing that all assignments are different, the average time to generate a completed report is between 2 and 3 days (not including travel). See Reports.

How long does a technology assessment take?

While still recognizing that all assignments are different, between 1 and 3 days to generate a full report (not including travel). See Reports.

Do you only cover MedTech?

No. While the emphasis to date has been on MedTech, we offer consulting on most High Tech businesses/product/technologies.

What are the differences between the services offered for Business and Venture Capital?

Many of the services overlap, however in general Businesses are more likely to be looking at new technologies or products, their concerns will relate more to Technology, Manufacturing, and Regulatory risk. Venture Capital groups more usually require assessment of a complete business including Management as well as implementation risk.

How do you assess risk?

Risk exists in all areas. Identification is undertaken by specific risk analysis. Once identified, mitigation or correction can be applied to bring the risk within levels acceptable to the business. Sometimes mitigation is not possible and alternatives will be sought.

What planning support do you provide?

Depending on the area of interest we can run planning at all levels - from setting out strategy, planning product development programs (including development assessment (Portfolio Analysis)), Regulatory Submissions and more. We also run Challenge meetings, Workshops and Technology Focus meetings.

What happens when assignments conflict?

We do not accept briefs that are in conflict with existing work/contracts/companies. If a contract moves us to an area of conflict we will inform both parties and offer to cease consulting.
